Back to the real:
We are on the road.
Right now our newest crew member, Andre, is sitting playing his accordion in the back bed of Julia. He's singing about languages, wants and desires. On the bus we've been working 12, 18-hour days, with barely enough time to eat and sleep. When someone can find the time to sit and play music, be it while we're driving or right after a meal, it gives the rest of the crew a chance to rest.
Support: we've had much of it on the road. We've had a few amazing sponsors: Dr. Bronner's, Numi, Mary's Gone Crackers. Now is the point where we creatively brainstorm to sustain ourselves. Unexpected bus repairs have busted our budget and we have had to rethink abundance.
Times ahead will be not easy, time shared will be difficult and tight. The average fuel producer makes pennies on the gallon, fuel is the majority of our budget. Most of our food we've had donated by generous farmers anf food co-ops. We begin many of our meals by giving thanks to the farmers and donors.
You've probably guessed what all of this is leading to. We must raise several thousand dollars to get ourselves home. Many folks friends family and feelfiners will be getting an email blast from us. We are the first ones doing what we are doing, and we are doing it for the first time. We have declined support from major corporations and so, yes, we need cash.
