The final event of the 2008 Be The Change Tour: San Francisco. by moe.

Fittingly, the last event on the tour has given inspiration for the next one.

The last of our crew set up Toss Out Fossil Fuels, conducted workshops on mushrooms and biodiesel making, and performed puppetry at the California Student Sustainability Coalition Convergence, held at San Francisco State University.

Within the halls of the student center wandered state leaders in student activism, many engaged by the carnival and enthusiastic about it visiting their college or green event. When not eating amazing local food, visitors could take in workshops exploring everything from environmental justice to alternative energy.

Dinner for the activists included chili, baby greens, and a comprehensive slide show from the Sustainable Living Roadshow. Though a time constraint kept our presenters going at a rapid-fire pace, many in the audience stayed engaged enough to cheer on our efforts in New Orleans and St. Paul, watch the cavalcade of photos from around the country, and sign up on the mailing list.

The CSSC Convergence in many ways was a perfect coming home, setting the roadshow like a console into a network of inspired and like-minded folks, eager to hear about our adventures and to collaborate on future ones.
